The Texas Sheep & Goat Raisers’ Assn. has three restricted memorial scholarship funds and one general memorial fund. The general memorial fund may used to memorialize friends or family in the industry who have been a part of the sheep and goat industry. The money generated from contributions to this fund goes toward upkeep of our headquarters, which is a 1921 Spanish Colonial building that is on the National Register of Historic Places.

     The three restricted memorial scholarship funds are the Louis and Eddie Mae Woodward Memorial Scholarship Fund, the Bryan and Velma Hunt Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Wayland Foster Memorial Scholarship Fund. Contributions are now being taken in memory of the Woodwards, who passed away recently. The Woodward and Hunt scholarships are single year scholarships given to graduating seniors in the sheep and goat raising area who major in some form of agricultural studies.
